The Best of the BBC Recordings 1999 -2006. A double CD featuring the best of The Charlatans BBC Recordings will be released on 14th July 2008. The album features 32 session tracks and concert recordings from the BBC.

Headlining the 30th birthday party celebrations at Ben & Jerry’s Sundae on
the Common on Saturday 27th July are The Charlatans, with support from the
Guillemots, Delays, Charlotte Hatherley, Florence and the Machine, Brightlights
and The Troubadours. Tickets are on sale (24th June) from www.benjerry.co.uk
priced at £8.75 plus P&P.
Tim Burgess had this to say about playing Sundae - ‘I am
really excited at the prospect at playing at this years Ben & Jerry’s festival,
it has it all....the weather, the line up and the atmosphere. The band have
wanted to play there for a while now but due to other commitments we were unable
to so we are glad to finally be getting the opportunity this summer!’
